Bullish Hiccup

In the year 2003, there was this cultural programme in our company. The company size was small and they said whoever joined recently must participate in something. I was quite curious on what all things were happening and discovered that a group of girls were dancing for the song ‘Babuji zara dheere chalo’. I remarked ‘I dont know to dance, but I can appear as the buffalo in this song’. I thought it was a smart remark and will make people laugh. Instead the choreographer who was in earshot(Which I came to know later) liked the idea very much. As a result, I danced for that song dressed in the bull costume (Though technically the head looked like that of a grizzly bear in black) with all girls around me. Looking back, I think thats the craziest thing I have done in my life, so far!

Last night around 7.30 PM CET, 12 AM IST I suddenly started getting hiccups. I was wondering if someone was missing me, and thats why I had these hiccups. Immediately my flatmate(not roommate) also started getting hiccups. Only then I realised the rasam I made was too spicy πŸ˜€

What’s the craziest thing you have done?

  1. I could think one funny incident when I was 1 year old. I was sitting near our window and heard a voice saying “oru rubaikku rendu”. Immediately I started called my amma and told her “Po ma oru rooba kodutha rendu rooba tharanam!!” ;-).
    My amma was amused and when she peeped outside the window all they could fidn was a man selling lemon πŸ™ . Everyone at home burst out laughing. Till date my family teases me with this incident.

  2. Prabhu, Remember I had witnessed that bull feat of yours..
    It was really hilarious. But I guess you had nice time dancing with the gals:)

  3. Gals dancing around you and playing with your tail. You just bought a big smile on my face thinkin abt that babuji dance of 2003 synfonia

  4. EngaL Thalaivar “Murattu KaaLai” Ferrari Vaazhga!!

    I never knew that spicy food will produce hiccups (hiccoughs – British spelling. say it out loud, it sure is funny)

    @Maverick: hmmm.. just imagine πŸ˜‰

  5. I have assumed men to be women and women to be men, when they comment in blogs. That I find crazy, after everytime I end up with a BIG bulb.

    There are a lot other times I have seen myself being a li’l “over the edge crazy”. But dont want to do too much of self-damage. Enof for now.

  6. Guess one of the craziest things I’ve ever done is technically in the future.. Just one day away.. Got a cultural contest here.. Planning to sing on stage for the first ever time in life.. (Same company.. Same blood :P)

    From the past, the craziest thing I did was: posting on my own scrapbook on Orkut when I first joined the network! Was then sensitized in a rather insensitive way by a whole lot of friends πŸ™

    I know this does not fall under the same category as “crazy”, as u defined it.. But this is all that I could recollect..

    BTW, if you are interested in knowing why hiccups occur, have a look at http://absolutegyan.blogspot.com/2007/12/why-do-we-get-hiccups.html
    (ya, i know am shamelessly marketing my own blog.. But this is the first time am doing it in a relevant context πŸ™‚ )
