I always wonder why people change their Orkut Profile names. How will someone find them by search utility? Like for instance how is one supposed to know that their friends whose mooku ozhugified 20 years back are off to Bangalore or the girl who was a pazham is ‘Enjoying the rain in goa’ or one of your best friends ‘Thangachiya naai kadichidichu baa?’. Hmmm? I don’t know why people change their profile name. It defeats the purpose of networking. Well!

Well I’ve actually heard a person say why she keeps changing her orkut profile name frequently.. simple..
When ppl are going thru orkut and see a wierd catchy profile name they are curious and chk it out.. and then they scrap on your scrapbook.. result?? before you know it you are getting a lot of scraps and maybe lot of friends are added to ur list…
your page becomes a hot’n'happenin’ page in Orkut..

And I wonder why they write in a language like the one immediately above. Oru herd mentality thaan. One of them writes like that because he doesn’t know to write proper English. And then everyone thinks that cool and adopt it. What is the whole point in writing like that? Chumma ellame oru time-waste thaan… kaetta justify vera pannuva. Enga poi vida portho!

I know people have two orkut ids atleast. One for definitely with real name (this is only for those real friends ok.) and the other one is for finding friends for having fun (who are also not identifying their true names) This is strange. Orkut has become a joke. Heard that there are a lot of males having orkut id with female names and say “no boys please”. I do have orkut id and I could find my old friends of 10 years and mroe. But that was just to find our friends. Its one time assignment. Then we switch over to yahoo chat what is good. I guess keeping tamil names is to show that they are looking for tamil friends.

Oh..you are right rubic_cube. Even i dont like writing that way. But yesterday there happened a funny incident. the upper line of letters in my keyboard was not working as a result i was not being able to type the letter from Q to P (loom at the keyboard). So I had to copy those letters and paste them and for that matter I made my text as small as possible. Now the problem is temporarily resolved with on-screen keyboard.
I didnt mind what you said but before making any direct comment again give a thought for two minutes.

\/ Peace - doell! But one has to admit that language has been shredded to nothingness. One actually does not need to learn a language. Just learn the abc and learn how they sound. That is all that is required in these times. What do you say?

orkut sucks at safe-keeping ur identity.no scrap moderation.profile photos are picked up and abused on the net.tomorrow u could have a few stalkers on ur back thanks to orkut.who really needs that kind of networking ?!!!

wow..i’ve been thinkin bout this name changing thing for sometime now..its THE most irritating thing .
esp when people have names like “lost ma mobile phone” “life looks better now” “i puked yesterday”…Man ! Whats the point are these people making..I asked one of my frens bout that and he said that it was just to show what state he was in..! Do you care…? NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm.. What if a person keeps on getting annoying scraps and hence is forced to change her name in orkut?
Anyway, I don’t think orkut forgets the name (or rather the primary email address). I tried changing my name and searched for it. I could still find myself getting listed first…
So, no other go than to delete the account
