Sometime back I was watching this song in Sun Music. Its one of my all time favorites of Rahman. Though there are other gems in this movie, I kind of like this song more than others. I wanted to blog about this songs lyrics and the place where it was taken. Is it Hampi by any chance? If yes, I want to visit that place

Once I was looking at the lyrics, the opening paragraph stunned me. What does it mean? I know about Pasalai Noi. Or atleast I think, I know 
What about other lines? Does anyone know?
Good song, decent picturisation, very good lyrics. Diamond-Pearl only no?

En Swasa Katrae, IMHO, would be one of the most under-rated works of Rahman. Almost all songs are Diamond-Pearl range

this is one reason why i dont think too much on Kannadasan vs Vairamuthu..who is best etc..
Vairamuthu & AR are the best combo..
talking abt that first para, hmm..its difficult..it should be from some poem from some tholkappiyam or something like that..we need a 10th std tamil vathiyar to explain word by word!
forget abt music..the way she sings this song, you could make out that it should be some famous raaga..!
anybody can write kavithais..but this is what you call it as class!
abt the place..no doubt its Hampi..!! :D.. go there after a month..it would have rained well and it will look the same how its shown in the song..!
