Singapore ticket kadaikum, Delhi all the aarasiyalvadhis with political connections will hog tickets
especially considering there will be lots of babes there, summa kezha bolts will take pichaar with them, namakku blood boiling. Singapore its just LKY mathapadi its fine. dont cancel ticket to singapore is my bet

Ferro, may be the communists will keep quite but there others who think they are the one who protects India’s monuments and historical places might revolt against it. I am not sure where track is going to be. I could see there are two places.
1) The raj path area where there is plenty of space

After the Asian games failed bid, I dont have too much hopes on this. Mani shankar aiyer has already openly criticised hosting such big events in big metros spending huge money. With the Commonwealth Games budget for Delhi 2010 already going big budget, I doubt if the sports ministry would approve this F1 race.

Maverick, big budget sports event are not necessaryly money earners but F1 is a definite money earner for any host city.
Also, the prepartion and money spent for the weekend event is miniscule when compared to Commonwealth/Asian Games. Anyways, lets see what happens if India is lucky to host F1 or not.

I agree about the money spent for a weekend is miniscule. But thats only if we have a half decent race track already. To get the land to start with and then build a race track that meets FIA standards and to meet the logistics of getting the F1 teams fly over to India with their huge cargo and then have them stay in 5-star facilities for so many crews….I think with a lot of red tapism these things just look more and more impossible.
But having said that, I hope there isn’t much bureaucracy this time and we get to see a F1 race here
