Looks like Fabia’s performance is not that great, when compared to Swift diesel. Hmmmm. And the 1.2L petrol itself is going to cost more than 6 lakhs. Is it worth? ![]()

prabhu, buy the swift, lower maintenance costs. If you are not too particular on a new car id suggest a second hand car. You get good rides, with 20k on the odo (for acar 20k is pittance) for like 2-3L. I mean cars like Hyundai Accent/Ikon/ etc. A second hand scorpio with 30k on the odo will cost round 3L. Which is a steal

why not Fiat?
You got 4 models..2 petrol ones and 2 diesel ones..
all known for their handling/build quality and performance…and all are cheaper than Fabia/Swift !

Check this site for more details, including technical spec, performance everything.
Though this is UK centric review it is helpful as the models in India are the same.
Suzuki Swift - http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/review.aspx?model=1374
Skoda Fabia - http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/review.aspx?model=1564
Skoda wins by 0.5 points to me
and the engine is VW anyway
Suzuki have really pulled up their socks with Swift.
Have you considered Hyundai Getz, its surprisingly much spacious, more mileage and good dealership coverage in India.
