Is there any other human being on planet earth like Ms Shobha, to make one lose interest in sex? For instance, read this paragraph from her latest book ‘Bollywood Nights’

There is so much talk about Sex Education these days. Government should form a separate ministry or whatever, and make Shoba the head of it. They should have audio lessons wherein Shoba reads out stuff like the one mentioned above. Parents just needn’t worry from then on. Kids will be so much disgusted with sex, they just wouldn’t want to know more than whats required!

Did the Guardian screw up? I am 100 percent sure that Asha Rani was the name of the the lead character in Shobha De’s second book - Starry Nights. And the passage seems familiar too. And yes, I have read a couple of her books.

Okie.. from what I understand Bollywood Nights is the name of the new British edition of Starry Nights, which released way back in 1991 and which I read in 1996-97.
