Sunset at Broken Bridge, Chennai
Broken Brdige near Besant Nagar beach is one of the lesser known places in Chennai. Not many people visit this place, thanks to the slums blocking the way. But once you cross the slum. its worth it. Here are some photos of the Sunset at Broken Bridge. The 3rd photo in the row below, is one of my all time favorites 
Unfortunately I couldn’t reach till the end of the broken bridge as a few citizens(kudimagans) were lying down unconscious on the way!

In case you are interested in visiting this place, thre are 2 approaches
1. From within the Theosophical Society (They dont allow trespassers)
2. From Besant Nagar beach, keep walking itowards north(Planet Yumm and Church are in the south) along the shore. Some 2 kms beyond the Monument. You will reach this place. You can take your bike/car to reach this place. Just reach the other end of the beach road(Northern end) and ask the slum people for directions!

Thats really an unknown place in Chennai. Wanted to visit that during college days. But, once I made it to that point last December only.
Inform, your readers not to walk along near the sea waters, due to stink. Better, would be if they take a motorcycle, go via the Urur Olcott Kuppam Salai, which starts right at the Water Tank.
Beautiful sight from there to see the HLL, Bharti Buildings in Santhome High. Also, ppl will realise why the river is called Adayaru, once they see its mouth.

This bridge also comes in Mouna Ragam just for a sec, when Karthik and Revathi spend together….also theres a conflict scene in Roja with Arvind and Madhoo.

Eventhough you might have seen in n number of films, including Kamal’s Sathya, go to Punidha Tomaiyyar malai. Few years back there was an RLT in The Hindu on that area along with Adyar river. Do you know?
