Yesterday I saw this ‘Filmfare Awards Ceremony’ on Sony TV. This was the first time I saw this program. I was wondering why they didn’t telecast this live. But after looking at the costumes worn by the stars(?), I found out the reason. What if there had been a wardrobe malfunction? Especially for Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty etc.

Guess their tailor/designer stitched the dress properly. But then, to showcase their inner beauty these actors wore the dress some 4 inches below its original starting point. Thank God, Karan Johar didn’t try any such gimmick! And yeah, as a result the dress extended beyond the actors legs. So they were happily sweeping the floors of Yashraj studios, with their expensive costumes. Hmmm. Wonder what would have happened, if someone accidentally stepped on these costumes?

One girl caught hold of Jackie Shroff, and mentioned that he looked gorgeous. Or something like that. Jackie was visibly embarassed. But then, what he did after that was amusing. Well, he blew a flying kiss at that girl and then caught the same kiss with his palm. Later he patted the girls cheek with that palm. I don’t know what it means. But I remembered ‘Indian’ movie where Manisha did something like that to Kamal. What is this kiss called?

A.R.Rahman sung couple of songs. But he was completely out of form :( Am not sure, if this had anything to do with the dancers clad in mummy costumes around him. He was closing his eyes, while singing. I haven’t seen Rahman so much out of form :(

Amrita Rao danced well, and she looks decent. One thing I like in Bollywood is the way, people publicly making fun of their co stars. Like Karan Johar making fun of Ram Gopal Varma, Shahrukh making of almost everyone and things like that. I don’t think such a thing is possible in Tamil Film industry. Hmmm.

Anyways, I felt the program was horrible. It was boring than a Karan Johar movie! Just waited till Rahman received the award, and happily switched to ‘Zee Sports’ to catch the Carling Cup final!
