I would love to travel alone too…But have never had the opportunity to since I am a girl. So I would never know how it feels while traveling alone. But I dont think I would enjoy it quite as much without company (boy or girl or just about anyone!) because I cant do without talking..:-)

And I guess this thoal la thatradhu, pal la thatradhu etc can be confined to the 4 walls, and need not be a public display! I think one goes for a picnic to enjoy the beauty of nature. Not for holding hands or for romantic walks!! Get out of this stupid assumptions about life!

I seriously wonder what is that you get as “Sugham”, when you tour single or with a single’s group. again as a single.

ur marital status would be signficant based on the prize they might offer… my parents once travelled for 1 and half hour to get a dark purple coloured milton flask set, which leaked. And this was 6 years ago in good old chennai. Old trick, boss.

I feel totally connected with the second part of your post prabhu..i often wonder people look at me differently when i say am travelling alone..and a standard reply from the plp is “kalynam pannitu avalayum kootitu sutha vendiyadhu thaana??.”..
I know it will be a different experience when u go out with ur wife. but bachelora suthura sugamae thani thaan..:))

This “technique” is employed very famously by that lousy Mahindra Resorts. As noted by one of the fellow commenter, they make you sit thru’ a 3 hr. presentation & try their darnest to make oyu buy their timeshare holiday. When I refused to be drawn to all that, I did get a redeemable 2N/3D voucher with a huge list of terms & conditions. To cut the story short, I could not avail it between the months of Oct to Dec / Jan 15 to Mar / Apr to Sep & so no. In short, no freebies !

I oppose to what Prabhu said here.

Imagine this, single person winning a tour and married couple winning the tour.

for the married guy two tickets are saved, whereas the single man only one ticket is saved.. so on that basis i would say it is only the married couple who need the ticket more, than a single guy.

Come on Prabhu get married, only then you will know the difference.. ( i was about to say difficulties, but doubt that my thangam will read this post too)..

Two weeks back , I was hurrying to meet my friend , near forum , One guy came running towards me and immediately started talking. The first word is “Execuse me sir !” with a visiting card in his hand. I stopped gave a smile and replied “Sorry friend, am running out of time,I need to go” . He added “Dont worry sir, I am not selling anything to you” with sarcastic smile in his face, I hated that. And this time only “Sorry I need to go”. Y ?, bcoz One of friends also got in to the same technique. They were walking near by Forum and a guy came with card and told them that they got a prize. Please visit this place with this card and with your CREDIT CARD. then everything happened as Deepak stated.
My friends were escaped. What is a bad idea for Marketting? Uffff…
