Today afternoon I received a call from some ‘Tours & Travel’ company. I forgot its name. The caller said, I won a prize worth 7,000 Rs in a lucky draw. I hadn’t taken part in any lucky draw and was confused. The guy said, they pick random mobile phone numbers as winners. Well, I was not sure how to react. The guy gave me an address in Koramangala, and asked me to be there by 6 PM. I said ok, and was about to cut the call. The guy said ‘Sir, Looking forward to see you and Mrs.’ I said ‘I don’t have any Mrs.’ Then he said ‘Sorry sir. Only couples are eligible for this!’

So, there was no prize for me :) My question is why can’t single guys enjoy tourism? Silly fellows, I say! What has marital status got to do with Tourism? I would say, single guys enjoy more while traveling than the married folks. They don’t need to worry about walking speed, mode of travel and many other trivial things which doesn’t matter when you are single!

Does anyone know of a good movie maker software? Of course, a free ware. I tried ULead and EditStudio so far.

With ULead, one can’t add scrolling texts to the video :( And, EditStudio trial version adds a watermark and also introduces a time delay!

Any suggestions?

You travel by train. You find a very pretty girl next to you. After a while, you start talking to her. She introduces herself as Ms M**** Takkar. Yes. Takkar! You just cant laugh, and have to keep a straight face. Life is cruel, I tell you!

Do you guys know, who acted as that proverb telling thaatha in S.Ve. Sekar’s ‘Big Brother’. I was listening to that drama sometime yesterday. The proverb telling thaatha is hilarious! Not just that, overall this was one of the best of S.Ve Sekar’s dramas.

Make someone watch a Hindi News Channel, especially Zee News, for 30 minutes.

Its a torture I tell you. I happened to watch this channel last Saturday whilst having dinner. It seems Big B’s family were in Uttar Pradesh to attend Amar Singh’s birthday party or whatever. This channel went mad. They were showing pictures right from the moment, Big B entered out of the airport till he got back. Add to it, Aishwarya has been christened as Uttar Pradesh ki Bahu. Thank god they weren’t in Haridwar or Rishikesh!

As days goes by, I really wonder how media will cover any news concerning A & A. We all are in for a nightmare, I feel. Is there no end to this breaking news craze?

Am at this amazing hotel at Haridwar. Sometime back, I was watching this channel ‘Filmy’. They were playing some songs calling them as ‘Yesteryear classics’. Songs from Dil Chahta hai, Adnan Sami music videos and that anil kapoor, kajol movie. The movie that ‘Priyamanavale’ was copied from.

Anyways, all these songs reminds me of my time in Pune. When me and my flatmates bought TV for the first time. That was the time when all these movies were released. Especially Dil Chahta Hai. Though there is nothing similar to that movie and my real life, I can relate a lot to that movie. And there is this Metro travels in pune. And mumbai-pune expressway had been just inaugurated. This bus used to take that route. They used to play this Anil Kapoor movie. I think, unfortunately, thats the movie I have seen the maximum :( I still like that ‘Kabhi to nazar milao’ album of Adnan Sami. ‘Tera Chehra’ was also good, but I liked ‘Kabhi to Nazar milao’ album more. And all these have become yesteryear classics now :) Those days! Sigh! Now that I have jumped into Nostalgia, I thinks its better to jump into the Ganges to get back to reality!

Off late, I have been watching a lot of English movies. Unfortunately the movies are in Div-X format, and my DVD player doesn’t recognize that. And I don’t prefer watching movies on my Lenovo notebook. Not that it’s bad, but watching it on television is good. And I don’t have a PC table(?) like what Amit mentions here ;)

Last weekend, some of us(Rahman fans) had a get together at our place. Gopal brought the DVD of ‘Salaam Bombay: Making of Bombay Dreams’.

This DVD has an extensive coverage of AR Rahman and his studio. I haven’t seen his studio, and it was great to see some clips on Rahman composing music. And they show him composing the music for ‘Salaam Bombay’. The way he was playing the keyboard was magical.

There is a new television channel called ‘Neo TV’. Does this belong to BCCI? It is so stupid that makes one feel that it MUST belong to BCCI. There was an advertisement, that caught my attention. A west indian (No, not a Maharashtrian or Gujju couple) on a boat. The boatman is an Indian. Suddenly the boatman will get up, and strip. In lieu with Indian culure, they don’t show the stripping(thankfully!). And that fellow will jump into water and swim away, leaving the couple stranded. Then a caption is displayed ‘It is tough beating a West Indian in India’. And then, the advertisement for India-West Indian series! Nonsense!

Why is that all cricket related ads are dumb? Let it be that blue billion thing or this one! Now what will be the ad for India-Srilanka series? Leave a Srilankan couple stranded on an elephant?
