Finish ordering for food, and start chatting with friends under the hope that food will arrive soon. After 10 minutes or so, cast longing glance everytime a waiter appears and crib to friends ‘Why is it taking so much time’. Then arrives the soup. Cream of vegetable soup or tomato soup. Add salt and pepper. In a hurry, taste it and find that its too hot, and gulp water. Your friends are well warned now. They happily taste the soup, after letting it cool for a while. Halfway through that, comes the starter of gobi Manchurian and hara bara kabab with that green chutney. The mint chutney mixed with curd. And then ofcourse, masala pappad. Yummy!
Then comes the main course. Paneer butter masala, green peas curry and dal tadka. Right after the guy serves the gravy, you place the freshly cut onions and lemon on your plate. The butter nan is so soft. You just take a slice of the nan, mix it with gravy. Just when you are about to put it in your mouth, the phone rings! Life is cruel!
Moral of story: Switch off your phone, during such delicious lunch and dinner.
