I somehow feel that people who are frustrated, become confused or become crazy. For instance, once upon a time I got a mail where the phone numbers of Bangalore Auto Complaint cell were mentioned. I dutifully mentioned it in the blog, so that someday someone might need it. All well? No! Beyond a stage some people have assumed that I run the complaint cell and post comments asking me to take action. I really have no clue on what to do, when people come and post a comment like this

Chenthil sent me this link on Viswanathan Anand. Check it out. I still remember the coverage in ‘The Hindu‘ when Vishy took on Gary Kasparov. They used to describe some interesting tales during the match. Like how Gary Kasparov used to bang the door, while leaving the hall after making a move and how he played some mind games and all. Hmmm!

Sania Mirza got featured in the top 10 beauties of world tennis. Hmmm. I had a look at the other beauties apart from Sania, in that list.

The ten who figured in the list in order: Gabriela Sabatini, Chris Evert, Steffi Graf, Anna Kournikova, Martina Hingis, Daniela Hantuchova, Mary Pierce, Maria Sharapova, Justine Henin-Hardenne and Sania Mirza.

Henin-Hardenne??? Beauty??? She is an excellent tennis player, and a great champion. No doubt. But beauty??

You are not feeling well. Right from Friday, you are suffering from cold, cough and fever. In spite of all this, you come to office on Monday, since there is a presentation. Your boss looks at you, and says ‘Go Home. Take rest!’. And the cute looking HR girl asks you ‘Why did you come to office? Did you take some medicines? Take care!’. Life is wonderful, I tell you!

One of the best games this season. If Man U, held the upper hand in first half it was Chelsea in the second half. Man U has no one, apart from themselves to blame for failing to win.

And Michael Essien. What a player!

Dear NN,

I am getting married next month in chennai. I heard there is L’oreal centre in T.Nagar for men. Is it good? And is it better to get a facial massage etc, a week before the reception? Or 2 to 3 days before the reception? What do you suggest?
-Periya Karuppan, choolaimedu

Dear Periya Karuppan,
Before getting into the massage stuff kindly look at the wedding album of any of your friends, who got married recently. You would be surprised to see that the face of the people is very white/pale and looks bleached(In the literal sense). People who come to attend your wedding, wont even remember what hairstyle (?) you had, or if you have had a facial etc. If you take bath twice a day, you won’t need these extreme steps. And remember, you are getting married in chennai. In case you get married after February, irrespective of what facial you apply it will melt. Photographs remain for ever, but memory doesn’t. To save the embarassing question of ‘Is this you?’ when someone looks at your wedding album, visit your local Gilma saloon, get a decent hair cut and clean shave. That should do.

It’s a lovely Saturday. You wake up bit early, and are feeling very fresh. Suddenly, there is a spring in your step where you decide to make the day a very productive one. After a hot cup of coffee and breakfast, you start cleaning the house. You do a pretty good job, in organizing stuff. By this time, you get bit dirty. Its warm, but not hot. Its just the right weather to take bath. You tell yourself, that you will have a leisurely bath since there is no hurry and you can take all the time in the world. Slowly you start preparing yourself, by applying oil etc. You stand, just close to the shower and slowly test waters. Its chill, and you feel great. Happily apply shampoo on your head, and eagerly wait for the cold water to hit your body. Water stops coming. There is no power, and the overhead water tank is empty. Life is cruel, I tell you.

All of you would have heard of the quote ‘Behind every successful man, there is a woman’ right? Ok, here is my take on the quote. And remember, you read it here first.

‘Behind every Traffic Jam, there is a police man!’

You reach the railway station, for a day journey. You reach the station some 30 minutes before the departure of the train. The coach seems to be clean, and you have a window seat. After a while, you check in the railway chart to find out who your neighbor is. Some 25 year old girl is supposed to travel alongside you. Now that’s interesting. You adjust your shirt, and try to set right the hair(whatever is remaining).

Its about time for the train to start, but there is no sign of the girl. After few minutes a very cute looking girl walks in. You try to act casual, by not paying attention. And when she says ‘Excuse me’, you just try to control your enthusiasm and look at her. She says ‘If you don’t mind, can you shift to the next coach? There are also window seat only. Actually, I am with my friend and he(Yeah it is a he) got seat in that. If you don’t mind’. And then you notice the gum chewing, smug looking guy next to her. Life is cruel, I tell you!

P.S. This didnt happen to me
P.P.S I mean I wasnt the guy who was disappointed, nor the gum chewing smug looking guy :P
