I do not wish to comment on the cricket drama that happened last night. But then everyone will have an opinion, there will be debates, ‘Tell us’ series, SMS polls, balls fight and comparisons with BCCI etc :D I will leave all that to the expert, elite panel ;)

Two things caught my attention. First was that ICC Match Referee Mike Procter, didnt know what was happening. Ha ha :) Then when I was reading this BBC article, I was amused by these lines ‘The ICC offices in Dubai are officially closed on Monday because of a public holiday but match referee Mike Procter is compiling a report on the first forfeited Test in 1,814 matches’

Eh? The house is on fire, and they want to celebrate a public holiday instead of clearing out the mess. Very nice :) Shows how much of a control ICC has over the game :)

25th August - Vettaiyadu viLayadu
Next summer - Dasavatharam

After that, I expected a serious movie from Kamal. Something in the lines of Anbe Sivam or Virumandi. Looks like he is going to act in a movie called ‘Marmayogi’ to be directed by Saran. Why Saran? :(

In case you attend a ghazal programme, please do not scream ‘wah wah’ in the middle. It just spoils the fun of listening to a ghazal when these crazy hooligans go wah wah.

In case you are a singer, please do not encourage your listeners to do this wah wah routine. If the song is good, you will be greeted with a good applause at the end.

Thanks.

Which feed reader do you use? Am fed up with Bloglines. Most of the times it is down, or it gives that red exclamation mark next to the blog. I have tried Google reader, but somehow it is not that impressive. Bloglines Interface is better(According to me. Google fans, dont wage a war ok?)

Dear TN-10-J-6168,

I miss you a lot. Especially when I see the vikings zip past in their motorcycles. When I bought you, you would have thought that I will ride you in roads that they show in those bajaj advertisements. It would have come as a rude shock, when I tortured you in the crumbling bangalore roads. But you never hesitated or showed your disapproval. You have been extremely faithful to me. All the more reason, I miss you when I see such roads with no speed breaker or humps(as they call in bangalore).
You know, last week when I called friends home for dinner I was in a fix. I had bought fresh vegetables and lots of indian spices, only to realise after reaching home that I had forgotten oil :( How nice it would have been, if you had been there with me? With your help, I would have rushed back to get oil. Instead I had to walk a lot, and depend on public transport. Not just that. For the past few weeks, its been slightly drizzling and very pleasant. Ideal time for us to escape on a long ride. Hmmm.

Ok. The point of this letter is that, I have been faithful to you too. But off late am really resisting my temptation to check out on the harley davidson my friend has. In case I do get to ride it, please do not misunderstand me. ok? And hey, thanks to all the walking. I have lost around 4 kgs and I will be even more lighter on you :D

Your selfish and possessive owner

If you see the current scenario, there are bigger and important things happening in the world. Triseries confusion in srilanka, Bipasha Basu’s harrasement, John Wrights book, Jothika’s career after her wedding etc are a few samples. At the same time if you ask a common man, the problem he faces might be completely different and it doesn’t align with the bigger picture at least directly. That that man (woman) that that problem. If you very much observe, the he she series was very much out of context to the current world problems, very much like this video(Lowfi Scene,Hifi Scene ). Err, the first 20 seconds in both the videos are the same. Same beneadryl in new bottle It was like telling all of a sudden ‘A tonsured grandpa fell into a lake’.

To further elaborate; let’s say a girl is having an affair with her sister’s husband. Now she is desperate to get out of this mess. In this state of mind, she wouldnt be in a position to understand important messages of rahul dravid like ‘We dont live in a perfect world’, or worry if Bipasha will get justice. So, it is here, my dear gentle women and gentlemen I surface. Am starting off with a new series, where in I will solve problems of one and all. If these issues are taken care of by me, people can start focusing on bigger problems.

Am sure you would have read about ‘Agony Aunt’. Similar to that, am coming up with a new series called ‘Nachu Namasivayam’. Thanks to my visible friend, who wishes to remain invisible, for this idea :) Here, in this column, I will pick up some questions from various media and post my answer to it. Sometimes I will twist the questions, so that it is in tune with my answer. Ok. Here we go!

Question 1:
Reader:
Dear Nachu Namasivayam(NN),
I am an unmarried girl. I am feeling guilty about having an affair with my sisters husband. Please guide me!
-Rosemary Lele, Bhosri, Pune, Maharashtra

NN:
Dear Reader,
I am not very clear with your question. Guide as in? Anyways it doesnt matter what you ask. My answer is simple. I am not sure if you are aware of a famous movie director called Karan Johar. He is looking for a new movie plot, after his ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’. You can contact him with your life story. He might make a movie ‘Kabhi Jiju Na Kehna’ out of this, or better a teleserial with help of Ekta Kapoor or Radan TV. In this way you will become popular. Once you become popular, polygamy is accepted and cheered by Indian media. Your sister will also forgive and accept you. See how Udit Narayan is leading a happy family.

Question 2:
Reader:
Dear NN, one of my friend has gone abroad. She is not responding that much to my mails off late. I am feeling bad :(
-Subhramanya rombakadiyappa, Gundlupet, Karnataka

NN:
Dear Reader. Next time you have a masala dosai take a photograph of the same. And send it to your friend on a weekday at 4 PM their time(4 is the time when most people very hungry). There are very few indians, that too living abroad, who dont like Masala Dosai. For better effect, send the mail on a tuesday or wednesday.

P.S. Please watch both the videos. Please please!
P.P.S A million thanks to all my friends, who gave me valuable feedbacks on the video.

In case you didn’t know, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna is declared a superhit in chennai. Sify says, the first week opening is bigger than that of Chandramukhi.

The big news in kollywood is that, fresh after the success of ‘Something Something‘ creative director ‘Raja‘ is planning to remake ‘KANK’ in tamil. Saravana Stores is producing the movie, since they see a lot of advertisement potential. It seems they wanted to name the movie as ‘deepavaLikku thuNi eduthu thachaacha?’. But after our CM felt that deepavaLi is not a tamil festival, they have renamed the movie to ‘pongal kku pudhu thuNi aa?‘. Subsequently, the movie is expected to be released by Jan 2007 at matterplex theatres like Parangimalai Jyothi, Avadi Kumaran etc.

When asked creative director Raja said that ‘This is not a scene by scene remake of the hindi movie. Its just a frame by frame remake. And we are modifying it to suit the tamil culture and values. We try to show adultery for the entire duration of the movie, and in the end say how adultery is bad for tamil culture’.

Sabesh Murali are composing the music for the movie. They are at Ghana, right now. When asked, they explained the fact tamil audience like a lot of gaana songs. But no one has heard Ghana songs, which they feel is mindblowing.

Jobless sources say that K Balachandar was initially contacted for this movie. But he refused saying he doesnt handle straight forward movies like ‘KANK’ and wanted to add a twist of 1st hero falling in love with 2nd heroines fathers 1st wifes 3rd daughter, who happens to be his servant maid’s sister in law. Considering the fact that there are lots of bald men in tamilnadu, this concept wouldn’t work out since they wont have anything to tear apart. Hence he opted out of the project.

Futher details awaited.. Stay tuned Machi!

I doubt the authentic nature of the trailer. One, the Madras Talkies font looks different. Second, the web site mentioned is not working :) Do you think this is the official ‘Guru’ trailer? Tell us
Looks like it is a teaser. Duh!
