Rediff is asking readers whether it is right for women to serve alcohol. From where do they get such questions? And many people sincerely type down half a page on this topic. For instance Mr Bhavsar has come up with a brilliant reply in this page

Women should be allowed to serve alcohol. We are very much conservative society and this is the major cause for increasing crimes against women. Women are still not considered equal and treated badly. They are considered inferior even by educated people e.g. in case of house works, cooking etc.
This has to be stopped and women should be given equal opportunites in each field. Previously acting in movies, driving cars, 2 wheelers, wearing jeans were considered bad. Now this has changes. There will be many conservative people opposing this but the fact it they want to dominate the women.

I m a regular alcoholic consumer and i njoi it very much, specially when women serve me. This is my request to the government kindly approve it in the benefit of liquor industry and also the consumers.

Hmm. There we have people asking government to reduce the oil prices, and here people like Pankaj with such weird requests.
Thank god, no one has started a petition drive in this issue! Anyways, I think its high time I patent some ingenious questions, which may appear in the media pretty soon. Remember, there are many people to ‘tell us’ what they feel irrespective of what the question is.

2. Do you think there should be an interval in movies? Tell us

8. Why is a south indian dhoti called as Lungi in the north? Tell us
9. Why do south indian girls wear sarees like north indian girls, at their wedding reception? Tell us

And by the time I am composing this post, rediff has come up with one more question ‘Does Omkara offend women? Tell us’. Its hilarious. Dont you feel so? Tell us

Sometime back I went to a reception and was not sure whether I was in the right place. The girl whom I know very well was un-identifiable with Northie saree and make-up.
