Dear NN,
‘Dear sir. I have read Shoba de’s spouse in which she mentions about the towel ‘If there is a wet towel on the bed, pick it up instead of fighting over who should do it. It is a quicker solution’ . I am not married. Am sharing my apartment(not the bed) with my flat mate. He has the habit of throwing the wet towel on the sofa. Will Shoba de’s solution work in my case, or it works only for couples?
-Poda De, Kilpauk, Chennai

Dear Poda De,
I haven’t read any of Shoba de’s book. But I can suggest you different solutions.
1. You can pretend to sneeze in front of your flatmate, and try to grab the towel(Not if he is wearing it, but if it is on the sofa). Use MTR Sambhar powder or MDH Garam Masala powder for simulating the sneeze.
2. Try to order pizza from ‘Pizza corner’. The Pizza will be a gory mess, and you would need something to clean the place after having the pizza. You can use the towel to clean. If your stunned flatmate asks you can always say’ Oh. It was your towel? What is it doing here? I thought it is waste cloth’

Dear NN,
Am getting married next month.I read somewhere that going for an early morning walk with wife is one of the most romantic things on earth. Is it true?
Marathon Mani, Alwarpet, Chennai

Dear Marathon Mani,
I am not sure who gave you this idea. It is a huge risk from my point of view. I dont know about romance. But I can foresee many problems. You might have to walk in the same pace of your wife. Else you might end up listening to ‘naan varadhu kooda theriyaama appadi enna vegam’ or ‘ivlo medhuva nadandhu vara idhu enna oorvalama?’ And by the time the pace is all set, you would be sweating and looking like an ideal candidate for street dogs to chase. And remember, every morning once you get up, you will have to wait for your wife to get ready. In case you doze off then you might have to listen to ‘Idhukku dhaan ennai ezhupiniya?’. By any chance you saw the video of ‘paruvame pudhiya paadal paadu’ from Nenjathai Killadhe and got inspired of this idea? Better think twice before venturing into any of the textbook romances! Poathikittu padunga sir!

Ok. The content of this post might not suit everyone. So if you are the traditional types, skip it!

While clearing the spam mails, I found a spam mail with an interesting subject line ‘Scratch your balls tool’. The what??? And there was a link too, where they mention ‘For times when you are alone, this superb invention, shaped and styled to a female hand, can precisely reach all nooks and crannies and allow you to scratch away ’til your balls are content.’
God! I fell off my chair laughing!

One of my flatmates is from MP. He spent sometime in chennai and stayed with some tamil guys in Mumbai. I wonder who taught him tamil. He has a mix of chennai slang and chaste tamil. At times he says ‘dai prabhu. inge vaango’ and some other times ‘prabhu. neenga saaptiyada machi’. LOL!

Its funny when people mention Kaakha Kaakha as a great cop movie. Great cop movies are ‘Kurudhi Punal’ and ‘Ab Tak Chappan’. Kaakha Kaakha was stylish, and movie became hit for Surya(Guess this was a landmark movie for his career), Jothika(I dont like her, but I see many people go gaga over her character in this movie) and editing(This was the best part of the movie, and few people talk about it). So there. And that movie was anything apart from being realistic! Dont get me wrong. It was a good movie, and a welcome break for tamil cinema. But its not a milestone movie, and definitely not a benchmark for cop movies.

I think I will wait for the dust to settle down, and watch VV much later.

Dear NN,
I am a big fan of Namitha, though am not as big as her. I read from todays Hindu, that Southern Spice channel is arranging for a date with Namitha. I am really tempted to attend it. Do you think its worth it? I will have to travel all the way from Mumbai, for this program
-Ramesh Silmishamayya, Mumbai

Dear Ramesh,
All this is a marketing gimmick. You first send a mail to the organisers and find out what their definition of date is. As far as I know, Date means perichampazham. For all known reasons, it might be a health care program wherein they explain the importance of date and how lean people can put on weight. And maybe an additional session on seedless date!

Dear NN,
I am going on a trek sometime next week to western karnataka. I have heard that there are lots of mosquitoes in the forests. Am allergic to mosquitoes. So do you think, I should be going for this trip?
Kosu kadikudhappa, Banashankari, Bangalore

Dear Kosu,
Take lots of odomos with you. But best suggestion would be this naRumugaye naRumugaye video. In this video, actress Madhubala will demonstrate, how to drive away mosquitoes. Between 00.00 to 00.20, 0.58 and 1.30, 3.50 and 4.10 she will demonstrate how to drive away mosquitoes from the self(Even whilst lying on water). Later, from 1.40 to 2.20 she will demonstrate how to drive away mosquitoes for 2 people. Its a proven technique. Please try the same.

Machi Flash:

Angry men create noisy scenes in front of RmKV. Our readers might be aware of the fact, that RmKV has come up with a new reversible sari, which can be worn in four ways and which looks different whichever way it’s worn. After that 56000 color silk sari, this is the latest innovation in saris. Angry men said that, RmKv has once again insulted the menfolk by not introducing anything for them, and had also copied their unique design. When asked Mr. Mayandi, president of LAI(Lungi Association of India, torn chapter) said ‘RmKV’ is time and again venturing into our private space. First, they copied the unique Lungi design and came up with the 56000 color saree. Now they are reusing the concept of reversibility from Lungis. And in return no credit has been given.

RmKv immediately diffused the tension, by announcing their decision of starting a new wing called ’kaileeChee’. Initially the name chosen was ‘lungiChee’ but then since Lungi is not a pure tamil name, they replaced Lungi with Kailee. It seems ‘kaileeChee’ will produce superman kailee’s that come with an inbuilt underwear, since there is a technical flaw in the basic design of kailee, to accommodate superman type underwear’s. And in a marketing masterstroke Bret Lee has been roped into model for this kailee. Very soon, chennai billboards will see Bret Lee in kailee.

In a separate development, all political parties in TamilNadu welcomed the decision of RmkV. In a separate letter, PMK president Dr Ramdoss hailed that all textile companies in TamilNadu should be in tune with core values of Tamil. He cited the example and mentioned that ‘Veshti’ is not a tamil word and it can never be a tamilian dress. Whereas Kailee is a hardcore tamil word. He said, he has requested the TN CM to announce a scheme of ‘free green belt’ to all those people, for whom kailee slips below the waist line. And he said PMK has come up with a special award for Mr Mayandi who has been fighting for this cause. Thamizhkudithaangi Dr Ramdoss said that the award will be known as ‘kailee-iduppula-thaangi’. He has requested Mayandi to rename LAI as KAI(Kailee Association of India).

Update: There will be a special Dappaankuthu program, commemorating launch of Superman Kailee

My friend RC brought to my notice a case of plagiarism in flickr.

Here is the original photo taken by RC. Please have a look at the technical details.

Here is the copy paste version. And compare with the previous version. Do check the date of capture, and date of digitization.

Someone spends so much time to take a photo, and another person shamelessly copy pastes it. Its so stupid and silly. And the person doesnt even have the courtesy to inform.

Is there any way to copyright/protect the pictures? I guess the only way is to add that copyright information at the bottom right of the picture. Do you know of any such tool for adding copyright information?
