Thanks to all the travelling, I missed the weekend action. Hope to see matches this weekend, and would love to see England kicked out. But then, as luck would have it portugal has many players suspended for next match. And C Ronaldo ruled out. Lucky England. Damn!
But then looking at form of argentina, spain, germany, italy and aregntina I wish someone beats the hell out of the english team. It will be a sight to watch and the whole world except one corner will celebrate in joy!

Agreed!! England aren’t playing well.. blame it on their Manager. And, Scolari is back to haunt him again! It wont be a diff result this time around as well.. Portugal has enough quality to defeat England. C Ron might jus’ be fight; else Simao will fill in. They have enough quality on the Bench to kick out England’s a$$.

Sudha: Italians had to see off a bloody tenacious american team and a super-talented plus rough Ghana Team. And let me not even begin on Czech Republic and their talent(Ferrari has written a separate post on the Czechs). Surely, they havent come through on luck?
English, OTOH, see their opponents:
1. Sweden – boring limited team. They could only draw with them
2. T&T – world cup new comers, no great shakes yet held england for 80 minutes
3. Paraguay – a decent team but nowhere in the league of even USA, forget Ghana or Czech Republic.
Besides, if you go by FIFA ranking, Czechs are No.2, USA is No.5. Whichever way you look at it, England is the luckiest team in this world cup(and even in the past – they even won a CUP on luck – a russian referee failed to spot a German goal in the ’66 final. And a Russian referee has)
A russian referee, again, has made England’s job easier by red-carding Deco and Costinha of Portugal.
Damn England – no wonder you find thousands of people on the net(including Englishmen like Rob Hughes and many others) expressing sentiments like “England should be humiliated out of the tournament” !
I really dont know why so many Indians think England is a great team – even the Indian Cricket team is not so hyped!
I had the worst experience of watching the English team winning their tie against Ecuador @ one of the public viewing screens, it was the worst ever experience i had ever experience i can see the racist feelings still prevailing out here.., even when we didnt support any team.. we were treated bullish.. by the english fans.. I very much lost the topic, but i do want the English to loose bcos they are no gud than others.. expect for Beckhams’s free kick which luckily went in i dont see any bright spots in the entire match for england.
