Dear Colleague,
If you want to replace your desk phone, please raise a call with the admin and get it replaced. Desk phones are not like slippers in temples/wedding halls. Someone takes mine, so I take someone else’s! And, what have you done to this phone? It looks like a TV Serial actress without makeup?
Remember by taking away my phone, you have encountered my wrath. You don’t know my track record. My curses(no, not the blogger) always come true. May you be flooded with calls from credit card companies, home/personal/car loan folks, country club sales guys. And if at all someone with a nice voice gets to call you it will be a wrong number, and they will disconnect the call before you try to engage in a conversation. The display on your cell phone will be scratched beyond recognition.
Your Colleague
P.S. Atleast you could have just taken away my phone. Why did you insult me by placing this phone?

tch tch tch…
Aiyoyo aiyooo
Ayyo paavam! (the phone, I mean!)
I am sure it is one of ur direct reports..
Happens. Especially if you happen to have some special kind of phone that is different from other phones around. For example… A *Speaker Phone* when others have a normal non-speaker phone. If desks are equipped with identical phones all over, then this is less likely to happen. If the phones are identical and still meet with this fate…
& you like being mono-phone-ous.
*1: Someone really loves “change”!
*2: The phone is behaving awkward at their desk and works at yours! (Analogy from “Code works at one computer and not in another”!)
*3: Someone is poly-phone-ous!
Nalla venum
ehehhehe someone pulled a quick one on u ;p hehehe
Well I’ve done the same thing at my office. Since the display on my phone was not proper, I took it from someone else’s desk and replaced it with mine. But apart from the display not seen properly, there is no difference between the two phones. The other person didn’t even notice the difference(coz she hardly makes or receives calls through the office landline):-p
