Ragasiyamaanadhu kaadhal

One of the reasons I still watch Sun Music is for songs like this.
1. I never knew a movie called Kodambakkam got released
2. I never expected siRpi to compose such a nice melody.

Any idea who penned the lyrics?

  1. As much as i hate to admit that i like a song composed by “Sirpi”, the fact remains that this is a nice melody :)

What happened to his trademark middle-east guttoral sounds forced out of Mano’s throat????

  2. Maverick says:

I have also listened to this one sometime back on Sun Music. Loved the tune on first hearing. Didnt know the movie name though!! Nanda (Surya’s friend in ‘Mounam Pesiyadhey’ and Diya acts in the movie). Didn’t know that the music was by Sirpi till now. Surprising !! But that makes me think if the tune’d be original???

  3. Kaps says:

I saw the movie and also watched the songs (female version and male version) in Sun Music.

It was horrible to listen to Sirpi sing the same song (that too full version) in Sapthaswarangal 10 days ago.

  4. I too love this song..sirpi did well after a long time

  5. Sujay says:

Nice song but have a strange feeling of hearing the tune somewhere b4..esp from some classical piece

  6. Maverick says:

    Lyrics – Vijaysagar
    (could be a newcomer)

  7. gladtomeetin says:

Hey have not listened to the song yet…will definitely make a try as so many have quoted it as a “Good Melody” :-) )

  8. Praveen says:

Song by Kavivarman. Sung by Harish Raghavendra and Harini.

  9. Sundaresan says:

aimnt aware of it…just now listened and yes, it was good one..

  10. santy says:

one of my favorites since i watched this movie…keeps on and on my car stereo in the evenings

  11. Samyuktha says:

    hai prabhu,
Thambhi film la sudum Niavu song kuda nalla iruku.. but Copy adicha song dhan… kelunga…

  12. Jay says:

    Samyuktha,

The ‘Sudum Nilavu’ song is not a copied song… it is based on the raaga ‘Reeti Gowla’ and hence it looks similar to other songs based on same raaga. One of the finest Raagas..FYI, even ‘Azhagaana Raatchasiye’ (Mudhalvan) is also based on the same raaga.. you can easily find similarities.. If you watch ‘PaadhaigaL’ serial on DD Podhigai, then you would find that the title song is also sounding similar to these 2 songs, bcos it is also based on the same raaga. Enjoy !!

really a good song from Mr.Sirpy. Harish Ragavendar have done good job but i didn’t expect this bad performance from Harini. and the backround scores of this movie was really amazing even there is another melody in this movie called Oviyam Varaigaiyile but this was a bit song only played in the movie not in the cassettes.
    SIRPY must maintain this brand.
