I totally agree. U take coimbatore for eg, we all know who was responsible for 98 blasts and the tension there. and who supported it.
In fact one of the “promises” by DMK during 96 election was to remove checkposts in the “sensitive” kottaimedu area.
the check post was removed even as the election results were anounced.
we saw its consequences in Feb 14th ‘98..

cannot totally agree with ava-paavi.
although she handled TESMA, anti conversion bill etc well, she had to go back on that after the total wash out in 2004 parliament elections.

jayalalitha is a wonderful lady but nominating her for a noble peace prize is like throwing dung on the face of the noble peace prize. she is not fit to acheive the honour of a noble recepient. but i do agree she has done very well in politics and serve the people well and has used her powers well as a chief minister.
