Now that Captain is actively into politics, we the genuine fans need to find someone else to follow. Someone who makes you cry with his duets, who makes you laugh with his sentiments and punch dialogues. Sarath Kumar was an obvious choice, but his movies doesnt provoke that much emotion a captain movie does! After due consideration, I feel Ajith can fill in captain’s soos(shoes) provided the movie is directed by vaathu(vasu).
The movie concept was good. But what will happen to vaathu’s standards if he makes a good movie out of it? Chandramukhi was good since he copied it scene by scene from a malayalam superhit. And needless to say rajni’s presence carried the movie well!
In the first 15 minutes of the movie, I think Ajith’s costume designer went missing and was substituted by Laila’s costume designer. Guess they used laila’s costumes and makeup as well. Ajith looked like Laila’s sister with a cute white salwar, pony tail and all!Just that he wasnt clean shaven. Be careful Prashanth, Abbas et al. You seem to have competition.
Is it a rule that CBI officers should be from kerala only? Jayaram as a CBI officer is assigned to find what happened to a anadhai poNam. Guess we all need to employ CBI officers to find out where the story and screenplay is!
Prakashraj is a policeman or a gangster? You will have a policeman who is called as nethiadi nandhakumar? Good that Vaathu didnt name the commisioner as blade pakkiri or aruva velu!
5 suicide bombers plan to blast Tidel Park. And how they are dressed? All in black/black uniform, black helmet. Only thing missing on their body is ‘I am a Terrorist’ sticker. Is this how terrorists dress? And will they go in a procession to blast the target? Guess Vaathu’s son or daughter might have played some video game on terrorists, and vaathu might have got some inspiration!
I think we software people, made lots of fun of movie makers. Vaathu is trying to take a revenge on IT guys in this movie. In the climax Prakhasraj tells Ajith(after he had killed some 20 or so people), leave india goto london and join a software company :O Enna kodumai idhu Saravanan?
I guess only lord paramasivan should save us from directors like Vaathu!

also happened to see the trailer of Godfather, which i expected would be a decent fare since it has ARR doing the music and all that… but from the trailer looks like another fancy dress competition with thalai coming in some ten thousand getups… best of all was thalai doing bharatnatyam… idha ellam pakkaradha vida nimmadhiya saagalam…!!!

Great review…hope u also saw the kadavul paadhi-Mirugam paadhi review in vijay TV for the same movie..it was also hilarious…. Vaathu reallly neeeds to learn some logic….U din write about Prakashraj dreaming about ajith dancing with Ragasiya…..that was also a landmark comedy.
