I first thought that they were talking about starting a family. Wow… I just have that expression. You can be a master of deception too! A la Frederick Forsyth.

For those who are not parents yet - having a child at home is a costly prospect. Only that you do not say it. But you proactively plan for it and provide for it. For when you become parents, you do not look at the cost. A child is something that is a part of you. And in its unadulterated love for you, you just have to drown! And drown do you.
BTW, sad as it might seem, I have known couples that did not plan on having a child just because they felt they did not have enough monetary resources. Many a times in those scenarios, I used to feel like asking them - Is that because you cannot cut down on your lifestyle? Most of the times, the hidden reason used to be that! But then we humans are so classically “polite” that we do not really ask them.. “oh yeah, what happens to your lifestyle then?!”
Sorry if this comment feels very intrusive or vitriolic. Just my observation.

Even I knew it… This he-she was not so good… Maybe u were concentrating too much on the “twist” that it was not very good… u need to write more of the usual kind, the cute ones..:D

Rubic cube - I have felt the same way too. But you realize that only after becoming a parent, so you cant really blame them for planning. Whats wrong in thinking that “I should be financially stable before thinking about a child”? You dont think about cutting back on your lifestyle then. Little did I realize that there actually would nt be a lifestyle after a child! (No regrets there though!) Absolutely agree on

What happened to the other half of my comment? I said,
Ferrari - I agree with Merino. You have to get married soon! This kind of knowledge before marriage is DANGEROUS!

Hey,
As ever, liked this one too, but it was a dead giveaway- thanks to the “costly” part of the dialogue. Oru velai if you had rephrased it to “Intha Bangalore vilai vasila samalika mudiyama?”, surprise element koncham jaasti irundhirukkum. Just thinking aloud.
