And so the much awaited Champions League draw is here :-)
I got to hear the live audio commentary from UEFA site :-)

Here is the draw

Chelsea vs Barcelona
Real Madrid vs Arsenal
Werder Bremen vs Juventus
Bayern Munich vs AC Milan
PSV Eindhoven vs Lyon
Ajax vs Inter Milan
Benfica vs LiverPool
Villareal vs Rangers

Really mouth watering clashes! Especially AC Milan vs Bayern Munich and Chelsea vs Barcelona. And Real Madrid vs Arsenal should be interesting too!

I managed to celebrate karthigai deepam at my home on tuesday. It was fun. I remembered my childhood days, when I used to help my mom in lighting all the lamps!
I tried my level best to form a circle :)

The effect was good, when I switched off the lights

Top angle

Konjam different angle la edukkalaam nu me tried. Came out well ;-)

P.S. Click on each picture, for a bigger version :-)

Dear Hutch,

I know you have a shop in Banshankari 3rd stage. And I have no reason to visit that place. So please don’t send me a message every day about it. I don’t follow cricket. I don’t want to download instant scores. I don’t watch movies either. So the sms messages asking me to download uppi dada MBBS ringtones doesn’t make sense. My astrologer is my boss and my dad. If they are happy, I am happy. That’s it. I don’t want to know what my future is. Nokia has provided me with enough ringtones. I don’t want to download bluffmaster ringtones. I dont want to meet Sonu Nigam at Bishop Cotton. I dont want a special date. No one special is waiting anywhere for me. Everyone who knows me has my contact no. Thank you very much. Please have mercy on me and stop sending me text messages.

Have you observed peoples actions when they are in meetings or gatherings?

Guys are lucky in a way, that they have pockets. Most of them put their hands in the pockets. Some guys like me follow AVM Saravanan with folded hands. Some rest hand on the waist(their waist) and the other on the chin. And some will scene put as if they are listening attentively, by keeping their hand covering the mouth. Especially the forefinger will be covering the mush ;-) Add a frown to the expression if there is a pretty girl somewhere in the vicinity. And to make their presence felt, they will frequently ask questions thereby waking up the innocent soul sleeping next to him! And the question will be an extremely important one like ‘Wouldnt it be cost effective if we replace the mouse with the rat?’ etc!

Whereas, when it comes to the girls it is pretty interesting. Especially when they are wearing dupatta. They will pull the duppatta down in the centre by 2 cms, and then lift it up by 4 cms and from right side pull down by 1 cm, from the left side lift it up by 1 cm. Phew! So much activity than sanath jayasuriyas stands. Then look at the watch and immediately follow it up with a look on the mobile. And the mobile will be hidden under the handkerchief. And if the girl is wearing trousers, then most of the times one hand will invariably be on the hair. Especially near the ear. And the forefinger of the other hand will be tapping on the mobile. And when they want to giggle/laugh at the person who was woken up from sleep they will bite their lips, suppress their laughter and look down at their shoe.

One of my close friends, is suffering from high BP 140/100 :-( He went to this Sagar Apollo hospital in bangalore, for this reason.
Point 1:
The doctor there suggested some medical tests to find out the cause for this. No the doctor didnt stop there.
Point 2:
She said, if nothing abnormal is found in the medical tests then there could be some problem with the heart, and some cardiology tests needs to be performed. Doctor didnt stop here too.
Point 3:
In case the heart is functioning normally, then there is a chance of kidney failure.

And if nothing was found in Point 1,2 and 3 then he will be termed as a permanent hyper-tension patient and need to spend the life under medication.

I found the doctors attitude strange. She neednt have explained all this right at the beginning? She could have taken it one step at a time. Like she could have recommended for the medical tests, and then based on the findings suggest point 2 if required. Instead what she has done now is create mental uneasiness for my friend and his wife :-(
Isnt it a doctors duty to make the patient comfortable as well? Whats the point scaring him right at the beginning mentioning all permutations and combinations. I fail to understand the strange behaviour of the doctor!
If there are any doctors reading my blog, would request you to share your comments on this topic!
