IMHO, its high time that we moved beyond the "bandobust" mindset and embrace the idea of "inconspicous security"? Would you consider yourself safe and secure, only if you see a 100 bodies standing around doing nothing but yawning? Ain't that a huge waste, considering that even a small child will realise that he is outnumbered and sit quietly till everything dies down? Just a viewpoint. Btw, I did see on IBNlive that the site of the incident was teeming with security folk. You obvsly know that the IISc campus is big enough for a man or two to hide. So mebbe right now/last night, everyone was concentrating on the IISc campus, cos they said the perps might have been hiding inside the campus. Ferrari: Well, I don’t know. It should be blamed on the security company. And wherever I read I find that the security officers ran away from the scene when the shooting happened.Not sure how far this is true.If thats true then aren't they trained to act during these situations, instead of fleeing. May be all the policemen are away at the higher level secret meeting with Dharam singh to assess the situation. But wondering what happened to the security officers at that complex yesterday.
