Qualifying format is undergoing a change, yet another time. But this format sounds pretty interesting.
And yeah some more changes. One line caught my attention in this article.

Tyre changes is also making a return after being scrapped this season, despite objections from some teams.
Everyone knows which team will benefit by this decision. But still I feel it is unfair! Ferrari should try forcing Bridgestone to come up with a tyre that can last a race distance, rather than make FIA bend its rules!
Whatever it is, am happy this qualifying is going away. It was too much of a drag, and becomes a lottery when weather condition drastically changes within the qualifying hour. Lets see!! 6 more months. Sigh!

I do not think FIA changed rule because of Ferrari and Bridgestone’s inability. It is rather likely that some of the teams might change to Bridgestone after the confusion at U.S grand prix this year. Assuming that Bridgestone is not able to come up with a tyre that can last for a race then the race might not be interesting at all as most of the teams might not finish.I beleive pit stops and strategies are integral and interesting part of races. Since the engines are degraded to V8 from V10 FIA might have thought that tyre strategies might as well make the race interesting.
