Miss you Pune

Reading Gaurav’s post on Tekdi brought back lots of pleasant memories!

I was there in Pune for 2 1/2 years. But it was like a life time :-)

Its a very small city, but a wonderful place for bachelors. The cost of living is very less. And its so green. Some of my favorite haunting spots in Pune

Will cover from north to south :-)

River View Restaurant beyond Osho Ashram (Very peaceful)
ABC Farmhouse (Best place to take someone special)
Kalyani Bakery near MG Road (Shrewsberry biscuits)
Inox (1st Multiplex in Pune)
Sizzlers at Zamu’s,Dole Patil road (If am not wrong I have seen a sizzler called as drunken chicken. he he)
Just Baked, Dole Patil Road
Joshi vada Pav near the Pune Corporation (Very tasty vada pav)
Pizza hut at JM Road (Its kinda mini pub. Loads of fun)
Subhadra hotel(Very simple but tasty maharashtrian food)
Dosa Diner at Deccan (Dosa with paneer and all. But bit on the expensive side)
Pune Coffee House at Deccan Gymkhana (The cheese sandwich)
How can I not mention Rupali and Vaishali?

I forgot this place name. The junction of FC Road and Bhandarkar road. There is a very famous and old hotel. People used to say that was the favorite dating spot for NRN and Sudha :-)

There is a restaurant in law college road right next to the HDFC Bank and bang opposite law college road. Again forgot this place name :-(

Darshini at Paud Road (Decent south Indian food)
Shabari at Dahanugar colony Kothrud. (I stayed very close to this place. The fruit salad you get here is delicious)
Garden Court (Near Chandni Chowk). A real garden restaurant atop the hill. In the evenings, it is wonderful. You can see the entire Pune city filled with lights. If you are planning to visit Pune do visit Garden Court.
Oasis(This is beyond garden court. Place is good. But lots of mosquitoes)
Banjara Hills (Here they serve curd in that clay pot. And the Dal fry was very good too)
Ambrosia (The ambience here is wonderful. Its on the way to mulshi. But the food is not that good)

Apart from this, so many road side hotels where you get this misal pav, kachchi dabeli and all :-D

I like misal pav a lot, and havent found any place in bangalore which serves misal pav :(

Miss you pune :-(
