Good Decision!

I seldom write about cricket. Today the so called important meeting on Indian Crickets future happened.

I dont have any comments on that. But there is one line that caught my attention.
‘The committee has also taken a decision that henceforth no player, captain or coach will write or have any interaction with the media. Any player going to the media will face disciplinary action.’

IMO this is the best thing that could have happened to Indian Cricket!!!

That’s good but i was so hoping they’ll kick ganguly out or atleast give him a warning :( (

  2. Jacky says:

Oh! So Mandira Bedi was not the best thing to have happened to Indian Cricket? Ok ok :)

  3. B a l a j i says:

I expected Ganguly would be warned and asked to mind only cricket and nothing else.

Whatever it is in the best interests of the game that the board has asked players to keep their mouths shut. Otherwise the media will constantly pressurize ppl and blow up even a single word uttered by any player.

  4. Sriram says:

Waiting to see how this plays out ;) ..thalai, nenu 10,000 hits reach aai poindhi ;) (pardon poor telugu)

  5. rsubras says:

me thinks enuff of politics in cricket…worst thing innum politicians evanum nozhayarathukku munaadiye ivvalavu:( wht is the dpdk(??) thalaivar’s thots on this?

  7. B a l a j i says:

    capri,

Like u said, it would be interesting to see what one captain says about the other.

  8. rsubras says:

and why doesnt the dpdk leader contest the BCCI elections…when sharad pawar can contest why not our prabhu ?

why not prabhu take the helm of affairs in BCCI (imaginary thaan) and re-conduct the entire committee meeting that happened yesterday?? :)

  9. rsubras says:

and why not the dpdk leader contest the BCCI elections…when sharad pawar can contest why not our powerful leader?

why not DPDK leader assume the role of BCCI chief (imaginary thaan) and re-conduct the entire committee meeting that happened yesterday?? :) we definitely missed the action yesterday……..

//no player, captain or coach will write or have any interaction with the media.//

Will not happen, I strongly believe. Time heals everything !!

  11. Cinefan says:

What happened yesterday was a farce. They have brokered an uneasy truce becos they don’t have the guts to take hard decisions.

Ganguly doesn’t deserve to be in the team not just becos of poor form but also becos of the damning indictment by the coach.

I mean,Greg says he fakes injuries, finds scape goats to save himself, promotes groupism causing divisions in team&is unwilling to work hard.

If any of our bosses gives a report like this to the management, what will be our ‘haalat’?

By allowing Sourav to continue, they are undermining Greg which is bad for the future of Indian cricket.

I wish Chappell resigns calling off this bluff or better still, Sourav continues to flop leaving the selectors no option but to sack him.

And how about suspending Harbhajan for a couple of series&getting him to publicly apologize to Greg for his ‘Foot-in-the mouth’comments?

  12. Hey all,

If there is something against the media I immediately utilise the opportunity to make fun of it. Thats why I made this post.

I dont know anything about cricket. So please pardon me for not responding to cricket specific comments :-)

    Capri, Balaji and rs,

Me no talk about cricket. Me no know cricket. So in DPDK no cricket talk!!

  13. Ganesh says:

    Hi Ferrari,

why no cricket, it will teach you politics :-)

  14. ranganathan says:

  15. Maverick says:

    Ganguly
In the interests of Australian cricket, please leave your captaincy on your own.
