When I read Sriram’s latest post I was reminded of this. Last week when I was watching KBC, there was a question on name of some space research station in India! I was aghast to know that one space station in India is named after Kalpana Chawla!

See my point is simple. Dont we have enough Indians who have given their life and blood for Indian space research? What has Kalpana Chawla done for India or Indian Space Research, to name a prestigious institution after her? Why not after Rakesh Sharma? The first indian to be on space? Remember she was working for the space research of a country that imposed sanctions on India, for conducting nuclear tests!!!

True, what she did is something great and it is a wonderful achievement. But so has Neil Armstrong and many other astronauts. Or on the same Colombia which met with an accident, there were some other scientists! Why not keep their name?

She gets inside the bedroom and locks the door for changing. Since its just for a normal dinner she gets ready quickly in some 30 minutes or so! And when they are about to leave, the power comes back. Sharapova has won the first set in a tie break.

Some time back, Gajini’s mijik got released. Maverick sent in a mail saying that, a song sung by singer karthik is good. Music is by Harris Jayaraj.

The song is really good. Melodious one, and karthik has sung very well!
The lyrics of the song is in pure tamil. Simple words. Nice to see this trend of tamil songs in tamil only

And one more interesting thing. Its a romantic song, and nowhere words like kadhal or moagam used

I somehow feel ‘Thiruda Thiruda’ is one of the best movies of PC Sriram. Amazing!!! Yesterday, I got to watch this movie once again! Three songs in the movie, I never get bored of watching are

1. Chandralekha (Heard that the choreographer for the song also had a large say in the lightings)

2. Veera Paandi koattayile

In this song, there is a stanza where heera sings
‘Indha maalai mayakkam en manadhil nadukkam Nenjil vaarthai thudikkum’
Adhula oru blue lens vachi veLaayadi irupaar paarunga. And exactly at that point of time, mijik la ‘tok tok’ appadinu namma ARR deivam kalakki iruppaar. Sathyam! Sathyam! (Abirami abirami solli bore adichchu poachu :P)

3. Thee Thee
Oru pazhaya kovil kuLam, padikkattu and 2 people in black color dress. Avlo dhaan. But picturisation irukke. Wow!!

No wonder ARR reserves his best for ManiRatnam movies.

I read this article. It seems some media companies have been fined 1000 Rs, for revealing identity of a juvenile prisoner for commerical gains.

Media should never be punished with money. I feel that they should adopt different punishments for electronic media and newspapers. For newspapers, in the front page they should have something like ‘I am Sorry’. The Editor should be holding that placard.

And for TV companies, every 30 minutes the chief should come in and say sorry.

But one very positive trend is happening. Last week the Supreme Court sent notices to slimes on their adult content, and now this.
