Some days back, while changing the channels, I got to watch this movie CID shankar for some time.
I really enjoyed the movie. I have always enjoyed suspense movies. Especially the combination of Modern theatres and Jaishankar. Thennagathu Jamesbond Jaishankar. kaNNuku mai ellam irrundu chamatha investigate pannuvaar. Almost ella padathulayum oru club dance irukkum(Dancer peru Reeta). And just when she is about to tell the truth, current cut aagidum. And somebody will kill her.
Ippo ellam suspense movies yaen varadhu illai. Hindi movies like Murder, Zeher indha madhiri nalla suspense movies ellam varadhu. Tamizh la mattum yaen varala 
Am longing to watch a suspense thriller tamil movie.
P.S. I know what you are thinking. Anyone apart from Captain please. Captain will catch bin laden near singaperumal kovil. Thats hilarious. Not thrilling

My favorite suspense movie of yesteryears was AtheyKangal. I enjoy watching these B&W movies, esp on a weekday when I take an off feigning sickness !!!

I think the film Jacky is referring to is ‘Vallavan Oruvan’. My favourite thriller (well more of a murder mystery than thriller) is Veena Balachandar’s ‘Andha Naal’.Script by Javar Seetharaman, no pace-ruining songs,arguably Sivaji’s best perfomance and a great watch even today.

Does anybody remember a B&W suspense film where normal heroes acted as villains and normally villains were heroes – first half of the movie you spent wondering who was who since the tables were turned! Jaishankar was in it too as a villain. I can’t remember the name!

I love suspensse movies.. but with actors like vijay, vijaykanth et al. doing masala movies and spoiling ppl taste, there is only a remote chance that movies like ‘athey kangal’ etc will hit the screens again.
