guys , Dont ever forget that newspapers are not run for charity.they have to make profit. Those headlines are showing up because people are there to read it. its that simple. And am pretty sure if any us were unning a newspaper we would have done the same thing. I would like to iterate what msp said thru FountainHead

Apart from their sub-standard news, TOI can be given a award for throwing maximum pop-up ads… hell with this site!! of late I enabled pop-up blockers, but still i cudnt forget those days when i have to close atleast 10-15 pop-ups… ammadiyooo!!

Not only that. Anti-Hindu is making hell a lot of mistakes, which I have never seen. For eg, regarding cauvery issue JJ sent a letter to manmohan singh to convene the Cauvery Tribunal. Hundu happily reported that JJ sent a mail to Dharam Singh!! Next day they did asmit the mistake. But still, they seem to be better when compared to TOI

Few days back Hindu dedicated some good space on its last page about Imran Khan that he’s ready to accept his British wife back cuz her relationship with her BF isn’t smooth. I was disconnected with Hindu for almost 10 years but still I don’t remember Hindu giving importance to such news several years back. Won’t be surprised if Hindu has columns like Sex, Myths and life a few years from now. Traditional papers are definitely giving up their Grandfathers attitudes but Times is just going overboard. In the cyber world, Rediff is a close 2nd!

In the novel Fountainhead , one of the heroes is a guy who runs a newspaper pretty much like ToI.He says :” I give people what they like. Not what they say they like, but what they like”.
That’s the unpleasant truth about us I’d like to quote in the context of ToI’s phenomenal success.
