I think this has been the most abused road in the world. Everyone knew, how bad the road condition was. Last week I went on this road, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the road is neat now. Work is still going on. But it is far far better from how it was few months back.
Am realy surprised by the attitude of journalists, radio jockeys etc etc. There is not even a single mention anywhere that this road is relaid and is in motorable condition.
Thats not fair. Due credit should be given whenever a good job is done. Off late the authorities are making effort to improve the conditions in the city. By appreciating them, it will motivate them to do more good job.
I know. They have done their duty only. But everyone who is doing their duty needs an occasional pat in the back.

We eat home cooked food everyday. We have been eating for ages… But then the day the food has one pinch of salt less, we say “Amma innikku saapaadu seriyilla”
Good work sometimes is appreciated by silence, or by not complaining ! But true, if they have been tearing apart authorities earlier, it makes sense for them to appreciate it now !

good perspective that somu!
but talking of job done, it has to be a job WELL done. for ex take koramangala.. this road where sports village and the new ponnusamy hotel is located was in a terrible condition till a month or two ago.. and today i went there and i was 1)surpirsed that a new road was laid and 20 shocked because its already in a terrible condition.. so ferrari we need to wait a few months to even appreciate the authorities

Nagila,
I am not the right one to comment as I have never been to Koramangala… or Bannarghatta…
But then going by history, I guess keeping the roads neat is something we always have been lacking in… Why do you think we dread rains so much.
WE have the likes of Bharti, Reliance, the Municipality who never like even roads :o)

Now all should understand that why none appreciated the repaired Bannerghatta Road in July’05. Now one rain in Oct’05 the road is back to square one. It is horrible road I have ever seen. Let’s enjoy the ride by Bus, Car and ofcourse bike.
