o! i’ve seen one more variation on this one:
‘pun-char here!’
in fact i was thinking of a post on indianisms on name boards… but for that i have to sit and write!
oh yes I see this one almost daily.. isnt this on the left side of 100 ft road just a little ahead of Shanti Sagar?
furthermore I wonder- does this shop give a “puncher” or takes care of one!

I think the worst spelling that I’ve ever seen is on Hosur Road, right after Baldwin Boys.
WALLKENOSING & PUNCHER SHOP.
ferrari,
visiting after a month. Best I have seen is in a barber shop 15 yrs back – sign in tamil:
Summer – Rs.8
Short – Rs.9
Step – Rs.10
Pangu – Rs.12
^^^^^
our house is on the road next to the shop. whatever be the spelling, the meaning is conveyed. if not for such spelling people would not notice it.
lol at what * said
Ranganathan,
Truman and kris,

Sridhar,

The worst one I have seen in my life is for a bakery on the outskirts of Chennai (somewhere near the Zoo)…
The shop was named as ‘Anus Bakery’
yenna bayanthuteengalaa? me too until i realised that they missed the apostrophe sign there. After all, it was Anu’s bakery
Maverick,
Lol!!!!!
Maverick..good one! LOL..
Check my recent post on a similar observation elsewhere in Bengaluru…
