My first post from a Wi-Fi zone :D
In Chennai Central station, right next to Dishnet hub there is this wi-fi spot. I had an hours time to kill, since my train is at 9.45 only. So plugged or rather wirelessed my laptop to this network :-D The speed is very good. Technology has improved very much sir :-D

And yeah. Nice to see Ferrari back in the podium :-) Though Schumi was way off Kimi, it still shows the competitive spirit in thalai :-)

Balaji and Sheky, sorry folks. Couldnt meet you guys this time. Lets make it next time I come over there.

Some days back, while changing the channels, I got to watch this movie CID shankar for some time.
I really enjoyed the movie. I have always enjoyed suspense movies. Especially the combination of Modern theatres and Jaishankar. Thennagathu Jamesbond Jaishankar. kaNNuku mai ellam irrundu chamatha investigate pannuvaar. Almost ella padathulayum oru club dance irukkum(Dancer peru Reeta). And just when she is about to tell the truth, current cut aagidum. And somebody will kill her.
Ippo ellam suspense movies yaen varadhu illai. Hindi movies like Murder, Zeher indha madhiri nalla suspense movies ellam varadhu. Tamizh la mattum yaen varala :(

Am longing to watch a suspense thriller tamil movie.

P.S. I know what you are thinking. Anyone apart from Captain please. Captain will catch bin laden near singaperumal kovil. Thats hilarious. Not thrilling :P

Some people have died in Bombay High, due to the ONGC fire. And there is chaos in Mumbai due to the heavy rains.

And see this portal. See, what are the top stories.

1. Dhoni powers India to 93 run win
2. Sex MMS will replace movies and TV
3. Mithun, not Amitabh is indias hero no 1
4. Lust is the theme of every party
5. Aussies will win the Lanka triseries
6. Better to be the mistress than wife
7. There was a dead man lying in water
8. Sania Mirza loses to Venus Williams

If you are a regular reader of Times of India or Indiatimes, god bless you folks.

Update:
On the contrary, you should have watched NDTV and Headlines Today channels yesterday. They setup a facility by which, people can inform that they are safe. All a person needed to do was send a sms to 2424, followed by their message. This message was flashed in TV continuously. Its a small thing. But informing your loved ones you are safe is very important at the time of crisis.

Rediff says Mumbai received the highest ever rainfall in Indian History. In one single day it has rained measuring upto 94.4 centimetres(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) surpassing the previous record of 83.82 cm(Recorded at cherapunji in the year 1910).

Airports, railway stations closed. Train/Bus services suspended.

Many of my ex-colleagues in Mumbai are stranded at their office. Almost every one is at office right from yesterday morning it seems. Still they havent gone home. I thought she will be scared. On the contrary, it seems they had a blast last night. Playing games like dumb charades etc etc!

And some of my friends had walked all the way from VJTI, Wadala to BARC, Chembur(!!!)

God save Mumbaikars. Hope nothing untoward happens!

Its strange, small small incidents bring out emotions and sentiments from you. For instance, last night I gave couple of biscuits to one street dog near my house. The dog, didn’t have the biscuits. Instead she took it for her puppies. And then they all had it. It was such a sight to watch. Looking at it, reminded me of my amma. How many days, she waits for me to have my dinner and then have. She make the best food and serves it hot to me. And after some hours when the food has gone cold, has it. It might sound silly, but this incident made me emotional. Am missing my amma now :-(

I think this has been the most abused road in the world. Everyone knew, how bad the road condition was. Last week I went on this road, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the road is neat now. Work is still going on. But it is far far better from how it was few months back.
Am realy surprised by the attitude of journalists, radio jockeys etc etc. There is not even a single mention anywhere that this road is relaid and is in motorable condition.
Thats not fair. Due credit should be given whenever a good job is done. Off late the authorities are making effort to improve the conditions in the city. By appreciating them, it will motivate them to do more good job.
I know. They have done their duty only. But everyone who is doing their duty needs an occasional pat in the back.

Off late, there is this ad for ‘Aviva Life Insurance’. I dont know if you have watched this commercial.
It starts like one middle aged couple, enter the airport arrival lounge. They are there to receive their son. Their son arrives with a foreigner as his wife. At that moment the ad caption goes like ‘Has Mr Mehra insured his life?’. Ridiculous. What do they mean? That Mr Mehra will get an heart attack because his son married a foreigner?
Aviva is a giant in life insurance in UK, if am not wrong. I think they can do a better job in checking the commercials. No one is a fool. Everyone knows, someday or other death is inevitable. But there is a way of telling it and selling your product, rather than retort to Karan Joharish techniques!!

In movie halls and big shopping malls, we need to pay for the parking. And we get a receipt for that. And when you get out of the hall, a security guy will be there to snatch the receipt from you.
I have always wondered how to hold this receipt(while wearing T-Shirts), while riding the bike. Most of the guys, hold this receipt in between their lips(he he). I prefer to keep it in between my fingers like, how the bus conductors in chennai hold money :-D
Day before, I had been to Forum(Bangalore). I saw this guy holding the receipt in between his lips. And there was a huge line of two wheelers behind this guy. And the security guy became impatient and snatched the receipt from this guys lips. Only half the slip came out. It was hilarious. You should have seen the expression on the 2 wheeler riders face. His mouth was open, with half the receipt inside :P

That reminds me. I have never seen a girl hold the receipt in between her lips. Women folks. Please let us know of the secret. Where do you hide the receipt?

Off late, hugging friends has become very popular. It is a way of showing you care for them, no matter what happens

Sometimes hugs are to share happiness

Or success

Or to show the other person, how much they mean!

But at same time, not everyone is comfortable with hugging. So make sure, the other person doesnt mind the hugs ;-)

Ravi has come up with a good poetry. Check it out
