Reliance

No. Nothing related to Mukesh/Anil Ambani. I am bored of saying Tata, so thought of saying something else :-P

OK. The intention of this post is to say that am leaving for Goa today evening. Will be there over the weekend. Monday from there to mumbai by Konkan Railway. Entire week in Mumbai :-D Will try to go to Pune as well.

This is the first time am going to goa. Never been there. And heard many hotels are closed now due to monsoon :-P This makes it all the more exciting. Please tell me, if there is anything that I MUST see out there :-) And if possible, some decent hotel where I can stay

And I have not been replying to the comments. Sorry folks. Too much work since me going on vacation.

    Take a raincoat for sure, umbrela would be of little help. Take a plastic bag for your camera.
    In goa rent a bike, you get everyting from a kinetic honda to a bajaj eleminator. I rember they charged me 450 buck for using a kinetic honda for 3 days.
    Use the week in bombay to look for travel agents who can get you a nice place in goa. Try GTDC its got the best location, its bang on Calangute beach.

    Beaches on a gloomy cloudy dark day would be fantastic. But, to be honest, beaches wont be much fun if it actually rains. Anyway, not sure of how it would be in Goa now. Anyway, ensaai..

    And do check out about the speed boat riding. I haven’t been there myself but have seen that in ‘Dil Chahtha Hai’.

    good for you. great place goa. though i don’t know how it will be when it’s raining. have fun nevertheless… try one of their ugly river cruises, atleast for the experience! you don’t get anything so tacky and enjoyable!
