Err..Love Story

By the time Kiran woke up, it was early afternoon. The entire room was very bright and at the same time pleasant. He looked at the empty half of the double bed next to him and smiled. The events that had been happening in his life came to his mind. He had just reached Holland

*Tortoise coil burns. Flashback starts*

Kiran was working in Bangalore, India a year back. That’s where he met Laksh. Laksh was in the same project as Kiran and both of them became good friends pretty soon. Laksh was from Bangalore. Kiran had lost his parents when he was 7 years old, and had an old uncle. He was living his life all by himself. He was a person who enjoyed his solitude a lot. He didn’t mind being with friends, but at same time he didn’t miss them when he was alone. All changed after he met Laksh. Both of them had amazing sense of understanding. Even in the project Laksh and Kiran, became a wonderful team. Their manager was highly appreciative of their work. And Kiran looked forward to spend time with Laksh.

Slowly Kiran and Laksh started meeting even after office. Some days Kiran used to drop Laksh home. Laksh’s family was also impressed by Kiran. They liked him and treated him like their own son. Almost every weekend Kiran and Laksh started going out. Laksh used to take Kiran to different places in Bangalore, since Kiran was new to the city.

One fine day, Kiran and Laksh decided to go on a long ride. They went to a place called Nandi Hills some 90 kms from Bangalore. It took them some 2 hrs to ride. It was very hot initially, but once they reached the foothill it was pretty chill. Something unexpected happened, when they were climbing the mountain. Laksh all of a sudden hugged Kiran from behind. Kiran was shell shocked. It took some time for him to recover. And the more shocking thing to him was, he was actually enjoying it.

They didn’t talk much and sat very silent on top of the hill. That’s when Kiran got to know Laksh’s feelings towards him. He was amazed, but to his own surprise he also felt the same. Laksh wanted to get married immediately. But Kiran said, he had got an offer from Philips, Holland. And once things are settled, he will take Laksh along with him.

Hell broke loose at Laksh’s house. Laksh’s father was on the verge of hitting Kiran. But Laksh stopped him. Kiran wasn’t surprised. After all this was the reaction, he had expected from an orthodox conservative family like that of Laksh. Laksh’s dad was furious. He said he will take legal action against Kiran.

Kiran was in a fix. He didn’t want to get into all this stuff. So he asked Laksh to come along with him to Holland. And they will get married there.

*End of Flashback*

And so friends, Kiran is eagerly waiting in Holland for his boyfriend Lakshman to join him. So that they can legally get married :-p

Funny to read that a relationship between two men is used as a suprising element in a story. There’s nothing suprising about it in Holland. Gay men and women openly show their love for eachother in public.
You’ve chosen the right country to give this relationship a chance!
    I know!!

this was very much similar to a short story written by sujata.
