I got a mail today. Imaginations running wild! Whats wrong with being single?

===============================================

Boys are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree.
The girls don’t want to reach for the good ones because they’re afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead they just get the rotten apples
that are on the ground, that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at
the top think that there is something wrong with them, when in reality,
they are amazing.
That is why we just have to be a little patient and the right girl, the
one who takes a chance to find the good, right apple, will come
someday… Send this to all the boys who you know are at the top of the
tree. So Guys if u are alone…this means that u r on top……….!!!!

I clicked this pic from my mobile last night. This is taken at MG Road,
one of the most important, busiest roads in bangalore city.
Now do you understand why there is so much confusion in bangalore traffic?
If you ask directions, a common man is expected to say take left, or right, or keep going straight.
How will someone explain this diagonal left? (You usually ask rickshaw guys for address, route).

*DISCLAIMER. I am not a doctor, nor have attended any course on the topics I am going to discuss below. What I am writing here is purely based on my experience*

Day in and day out, all of us slog and work very hard. Irrespective of the profession and the place where we work. But how many of us really take care of ourselves?

1. Eating at regular intervals.

I know many people who skip lunch, dinner or postpone it, because the work is going on at hectic pace. It shows lack of planning. You very well know what is the lunch time. Cant the work be planned so that you get time for 30 minutes in the afternoon.

Point to note: Does your boss skip lunch? Have you got any brownie points in your career, because you have skipped lunch or dinner and worked?

2. Lack of proper sleep.

I interacted with many people who joined my company, straight from college. They have a feeling that, if they work till 1 AM or 2 AM almost everyday, they get recognition. And people appreciate them. This myth is there in many a people. Even I had this opinion. Nowadays I dont stay unless and until situation demands. Look at this way. Company pays you money for working from 9 to 6 or whatever time. Why should you stay late?

Point to note: A person who comes to office at 9 AM sharp and works till 6.30 PM in evening (with barest minimum of personal calls or mails) is considered as a much efficient and talented person. Bosses will agree with people who slog, that they are hard working. But people who work smart get more benefits. I learnt this the hard way

3. Coming to office while not well.

No one will appreciate that you came to work, even though you are sick. If you do not take care of health, who else will take care of you? Then why does every company allocates some percentage of days under sick leave category?

Point to note: If you can come to office, then it is assumed that your health is good, and you can work. No mercy will be shown.

Take care people! Only you have to take care of yourself. No one else will.

Whats happening people? I came across this article in rediff. I guess more and more people are getting frustrated that they are not able to destroy hinduism, and end up with these cheap, dirty, third rated stuff!

And if we question such stuff, we become Hindutva, communal and fanatics eh?

Here is my second post on Narain Karthikeyan. Have you people seen the ad of TATA in which Narain Karthikeyan features? He is portrayed as ‘Worlds Fastest Indian’.

Is’nt ‘Fastest Indian’ the right term?

Brett Lee is referred to as ‘Australias fastest bowler’. Not as ‘Worlds Fastest Australian Bowler’.

Ok. This is for people, who might argue saying that there are many indians all over the world. And the advertisement covers them. Then using the same logic, can we call Narain as ‘Worlds Fastest Coimbatorean’ ?

And who am I? ‘Worlds Fastest 1st Block 3rd cross Koramangalan’ ???

P.S. I do know of a movie ‘Worlds Fastest Indian’ starring Anthony Hopkins. But I dont think that movie was an inspiration for the TATA ad.
